About the Author
Paul Riley, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired), served 24 years in the U.S. Army as an Air Defense Artillery officer, including deployments to Desert Storm and Iraq. Following the 30-year career of his father, Major General William Riley Jr., his brother Dave’s Coast Guard service, and his brother Tom’s 30-year Army service, Paul brings a unique three-generation military perspective to his writing. His memoir “From Hero to Zero” combines humor and heart to reveal what military service really looks like. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island and Providence College, Paul volunteers with the Disabled American Veterans and National Museum of the United States Army and lives in Virginia.
